Skydiving was one of my dreams, so I was very excited about jumping from 13,000 feet high. After the training, I was really excited to jump as soon as possible. But when I looked down from the highest point, you go blank for 2-3 seconds, your heart beats the fastest, and then finally you jump! Oh shit!!!!! Is Skydiving in Pattaya Expensive?
No. If you compare it to other Asian countries like Dubai, Nepal, and Malaysia, where skydiving costs are very high, in Thailand, you can skydive for $350 if you don’t choose the VIP option. I think it’s one of the cheapest in Asia. I mentioned the VIP package in Pattaya, Thailand. Let’s take a look at their pricing step by step.
Out of the 3 packages, I chose number 3 because I wanted both the video and photos. It cost 13,100 Baht, and they charged 250 Baht per person for insurance. The total amount I had to pay was 13,100 + 250 = 13,350 Baht.
After booking, they gave me a 10 a.m. pickup time from the hotel. They arrived exactly on time, so be prepared. It took about 1.5 to 2 hours to get to the Skydiving Point.
- You’ll need to sign a waiver stating that you’re willingly agreeing to skydive.
- Make the payment.
- After payment, they provide you with an alarm key. After waiting 15 to 20 minutes, the alarm sounds, and you go for a short training session. It’s very easy! Just stay focused and follow the trainer’s instructions. Your trainer will be the one jumping with you! And if you booked package number 3 like I did, a cameraman will also jump with you from 13,000 feet.
Afterward, I received my photos, videos, a skydiving certificate, and a small gift. They dropped me back at the hotel in the evening!
It’s just amazing! I can’t explain it any better than this. You have to jump if you really want to feel this experience.
Is It Safe to Jump?
Many people wonder if skydiving is safe. Most are afraid, so they never try it. Some have phobias, etc. But yes, to jump, you must be perfectly fit; otherwise, they’ll deny you the opportunity.
To skydive in Thailand, you need to be in good health with no serious medical conditions. The weight limit is 114 kg, and participants over 65 must provide a medical certificate. Alcohol or drugs are prohibited before jumping, and scuba diving is restricted for 24 hours before. Skydivers must be sober, and anyone over 8 years old can participate with legal identification.
