Phi Phi Island | 1-Day Adventure

I booked the Phi Phi Island | 1-Day Adventure package through a Bangladeshi restaurant where I enjoyed dinner near Patong Beach, just two days before my trip. On the day of the adventure, the agency’s car picked me up from my hotel at 9 AM. After about 1 hour and 30 minutes, we arrived at the port, ready to set off on our exciting boat journey.

For this adventurous trip, I chose the boat option to Phi Phi Island, eagerly anticipating the thrill of riding the waves. However, if you’re sensitive to the vibrations from the waves or prone to seasickness, consider opting for a ship instead, as it offers a smoother journey without the wave motion. Location

Pileh Lagoon

Pileh Lagoon took my breath away. The water glistened in a stunning shade of turquoise, surrounded by towering limestone cliffs that felt straight out of a movie. I took a refreshing swim here and enjoyed the serene atmosphere, especially in the morning when it was peaceful and quiet.

Phi Phi Lay

Phi Phi Lay is a hidden gem characterized by dramatic cliffs and crystal-clear waters. The island feels untouched, making it ideal for exploration. I snorkeled here and encountered beautiful marine life. If you visit, try to go early in the morning or late in the afternoon to dodge the crowds.

Viking Cave

While you can’t get close to Viking Cave, it’s still worth a look from the boat. With its ancient paintings and unique rock formations, the cave opens to the sea, creating a magical atmosphere. Mid-morning to early afternoon is the best time for stunning photos.

Monkey Beach

Monkey Beach is a fun spot with soft sand and playful monkeys. You can relax, swim, or interact with the monkeys (just be cautious!). I fed them biscuits from my boat, and they were surprisingly friendly, not aggressive at all. Late morning is a good time to visit before the beach fills up with visitors.

Monkey Beach

Tonsai Bay

Tonsai Bay is the heart of the action! With breathtaking views of cliffs and a vibrant beach scene, there’s always something happening. You can grab a bite to eat, shop for souvenirs, or rent a kayak for some exploration. Late afternoon is perfect for enjoying the lively atmosphere and catching the sunset. I loved snorkeling there, feeling like I was swimming alongside colorful fish—it was truly a fantastic experience!

Phi Phi Don

Phi Phi Don, the largest island, offers a blend of nature and lively energy. You can relax on the beach, try diving, or hike to a viewpoint for breathtaking photos. I visited a halal restaurant for lunch and was pleasantly surprised to find many Muslim families on the island, all of whom were very kind and welcoming.

Khai Nok Island

After lunch, we headed to Khai Nok Island. The waves were quite high on the way, splashing into the boat and causing some concern among the women on board. However, once we arrived, it was like stepping into a little paradise with white sandy beaches and clear waters—perfect for a relaxing day of swimming and sunbathing. I was definitely tired after all the swimming and snorkeling!

Essential Tips for Your Trip

Here are a few tips to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience:

  • Choose a Reliable Tour Operator: It’s tempting to go for cheaper options, but safety should always come first. Check reviews before booking.
  • Pack Sunscreen: The sun can be intense, and you definitely don’t want to end up sunburned.
  • Use a Waterproof Bag: If you plan to swim or snorkel, a waterproof bag is essential to keep your phone or camera dry.
  • Stay Hydrated: The heat can be exhausting, so make sure to bring a bottle of water.
  • Bring Your Snorkeling Gear: While most tours provide equipment, if you have your own gear, bring it along for comfort.
  • Consider Motion Sickness Medication: If you’re prone to seasickness, take motion sickness pills before boarding the boat.
  • Carry Cash: Some locations may not accept cards, so having cash on hand for local snacks or souvenirs is a good idea.
  • Be Environmentally Conscious: Don’t litter, and be careful when swimming around coral reefs to help preserve the beauty for future travelers.
  • Check the Weather: If you’re traveling during the rainy season, be aware that your trip may get canceled.

Overall, my experience at Phi Phi Island | 1-Day Adventure was absolutely amazing. If you’re in Thailand, this is a must-visit destination. I’m excited to share more about my adventures, so stay tuned!
