Ba Na Hills is one of the most magical spots in Vietnam, and the highlight of my trip was undoubtedly the iconic Golden Bridge. The excitement I felt leading up to the visit was unreal, and once we arrived at 10 AM by a GRAB car, I was more than ready to dive into the adventure.
Location
Ba Na Hills is located in Hòa Ninh, Hòa Vang, Da Nang, Vietnam. It’s about a 30–40-minute drive from Da Nang city center, and the journey itself is part of the fun! I’d recommend using a taxi or ride-hailing app like Grab for convenience. Alternatively, you can join a tour that includes shuttle services for a stress-free ride.
Perfect Time to Visit
We went in the early morning, which was fantastic. However, if morning isn’t your thing, late afternoon is also a good option.
- Early Morning: Arriving just after sunrise, the soft morning light creates a golden glow on the bridge, perfect for photos without the crowds.
- Late Afternoon: The sky turns into a vibrant canvas as the sun sets, making the views from the bridge even more stunning.
Must-Visit Spots at Ba Na Hills
Ba Na Hills is filled with a variety of attractions that combine nature with adventure and a touch of French charm. Here are the highlights of my trip:
Ba Na Cable Car
Our adventure began with a ride on one of the longest cable car systems in the world, stretching nearly 5,800 meters. The views during the ascent were breathtaking, with misty mountains and lush valleys below. I’d never experienced anything quite like it. As we arrived at the top, we were greeted by the star of the show: Golden Bridge.
Golden Bridge
This was the highlight of my trip! The bridge’s unique design, featuring giant stone hands lifting the golden walkway, made me feel like I was walking in a fantasy. The 150-meter-long bridge offers incredible views of the surrounding mountains and valleys. Every angle was perfect for photos, and the experience of walking across it was surreal.
French Village
Wandering through the French Village felt like stepping into a European fairytale. The cobblestone streets, charming cafes, and stunning architecture made me feel like I had been transported to France. I stopped for a coffee and croissant at a quaint little café, soaking in the atmosphere.
Le Jardin D’amour (Love Garden)
After the French Village, we visited the Love Garden, which was filled with vibrant flowers and beautiful statues. This is a must-visit spot for anyone who loves photography. Every corner of the garden was picture-perfect, and the peaceful surroundings made for a relaxing escape.
Fantasy Park
Next up was Fantasy Park, an amusement park filled with thrilling rides and fun activities. I couldn’t resist trying the Alpine Coaster, which had a long queue but was well worth the wait. The ride was exhilarating, with twists and turns that offered amazing views of the surrounding landscape. Make sure to notice the camera on the ride for a great photo!
Mountain Viewpoints
The viewpoints throughout Ba Na Hills offer breathtaking panoramas of the mountain ranges. Standing there, with the cool breeze and stunning vistas, was a peaceful and unforgettable experience.
Wax Museum
The Wax Museum was another fun stop, featuring lifelike statues of celebrities and historical figures. I couldn’t help but take a few selfies with my favorite stars!
Food
The food at Ba Na Hills was surprisingly diverse. I was thrilled to find options for Indian, Italian, French, Chinese, Japanese, and Korean cuisines. After all the exploring, we sat down for a delicious meal, which was the perfect way to recharge before continuing our adventure.
Is Ba Na Hills Expensive?
Yes, it can be a bit pricey. Entrance tickets, including the Golden Bridge and cable car ride, typically cost between $70 and $80 per person. However, I found the experience well worth it, given all the attractions and activities included.
Is It Worth the Trip?
Without a doubt! Ba Na Hills offers a once-in-a-lifetime experience. The Golden Bridge is unlike anything I’ve ever seen, and the whole area, from the French Village to the Fantasy Park, felt like stepping into a different world. The scenic views and fun activities make this place a must-visit in Vietnam.
Is It Safe?
Yes, Ba Na Hills felt very safe. There were plenty of security staff, and the area was well-maintained. Like anywhere else, just be mindful of your belongings, but overall, it was a worry-free experience.
