Your 6-Day Quick Travel Guide to Vietnam

I am happily starting a chart of my travel planning today, documenting where I have traveled. It will also provide an A-to-Z quick view of my entire travel experiences! So, letโ€™s start by diving into the 6-Day Quick Travel Guide to Vietnam.

This is my first country to visit after my workplace in Cambodia. I was very excited about this trip after a long period of work pressure. I also traveled to many places in Cambodia and shared those experiences with you. Now, today, I am going to share my first travel planning and experience in Vietnam. So, letโ€™s dive into it!

Visa Processing

The first step in a travel plan is obtaining a visa for the country you want to visit. As a Bangladeshi citizen, I needed a visa to travel to Vietnam. I applied through an agent from Cambodia who charged $200 for a 6-month multiple-entry visa. The process took 15 days. If you are staying in Cambodia and want an easy option, you may contact me for the agent’s information.Or,

If you are looking for an e-visa to apply yourself from Cambodia or another country and need a visa, you can apply yourself through this site Thai Electronic Visa website.

Pack the Bag

I traveled for 06 days, so I needed to carry the essential belongings:

  1. 4 t-shirts and pants (short & long pants)โ€”I bought 2 or 3 more during the trip at the beach or Thai local markets. 2 pairs of shoes, 3 pairs of socks & shorts, and 2 watches.
  2. Personal items: brush, shampoo, conditioner, mini umbrella, 5 bottles of body spray, wipes, and sanitizer.
  3. Skincare products: sunscreen, toner, face serum, and hair serum.
  4. Important belongings: passport, charger, earbuds, and a JBL speaker.

If you don’t plan your trip, it can turn into a disaster and be a waste! So, plan your trip to make it memorable and adventurous. Iโ€™m going to copy-paste my full 6-day travel plan here, so jump in:

Flight Bookings: Be very careful while booking flights. I successfully traveled using the following:

  • Phnom Penh to Ho Chi Minh City by Flight ๐Ÿ›ซ
  • Ho Chi Minh City to Dan Nang by Flight ๐Ÿ›ซ
  • Dan Nang to Hanoi by Flight ๐Ÿ›ซ
  • Hanoi to Phnom Penh by Flight ๐Ÿ›ซ

I used Trip.com for flights and Bolt & sometimes Grab apps for cars.

Hotel Bookings: To ensure a comfortable stay, plan your bookings as per your travel days:

  • Ho Chi Minh: 1 Night
  • Da Nang: 2 Nights
  • Hanoi: 3 Night

Keeping the Cash!

I had about $2,000 in cash on me to exchange at the airport in Vietnam. If you donโ€™t have an international Visa or credit card, you might run into some trouble with payments or using your card. Even though I had my international Visa card with me, some ATMs and card machines charged a feeโ€”either 5% or 2%โ€”depending on the one I used. Honestly, itโ€™s usually better to carry cash, either in dollars or your own currency.
Now that my leave is approved, Iโ€™m all set and ready to go! If you’re thinking about starting your own travel adventure, make sure to follow my blog. Iโ€™m currently working on a 6-Day Quick Travel Guide to Vietnam. For more details, just press here.
